Our Journey
History of Saklecha Group of Companies
The Saklecha Group has steadily grown into a diversified player in the edible oil and agro-processing industry, with a strong focus on solvent extraction, refining, and value-added agro products.
Early Foundation and Diversification
The journey began in 2004 with the establishment of a solvent extraction facility focused on processing sunflower membrane seeds. Alongside this, the group diversified into nutraceutical and agro-based products including turmeric, tobacco press mud, and marigold flowers.
A major milestone during this phase was the commissioning of a 100 TPD fully stainless steel solvent extraction plant in Tumkur, which was among the first of its kind in the edible oil industry.

Expansion into Rice Bran Oil
In 2014, the group expanded its operations by entering the rice bran oil segment, setting up a dedicated solvent extraction facility to tap into the growing demand for healthier edible oils.
International Expansion
Marking its global footprint, the Saklecha Group entered into a joint venture in Sri Lanka in 2016.
The venture, Agro Extract Lanka Pvt. Ltd., included:
- 150 TPD solvent extraction plant
- 50 TPD refinery
This move strengthened the group’s presence in international markets and diversified its sourcing and processing capabilities.
Capacity Growth and Operational Scaling
In 2019, the group expanded domestically by operating a leased solvent extraction unit under Saklecha Extraction LLP, with a capacity of 125 TPD, further enhancing processing volumes.
Major Capacity Addition
In 2022, the group launched Saklecha Agro Oils Pvt. Ltd., a significant milestone featuring:
- 350 TPD solvent extraction plant
- 125 TPD refinery, primarily focused on rice bran oil
This marked a substantial scale-up in both extraction and refining capabilities.
Strategic Expansion and Integration
The year 2025 saw multiple key developments:
Agra Extract Lanka Private Limited Expansion (Sri Lanka)
- Added an oil mill unit for sunflower and canola seeds
- Increased solvent extraction capacity to 200 TPD
- Expanded refinery capacity from 50 TPD to 100 TPD
Saklecha Solventex Pvt. Ltd. (India)
- Commissioned a new oil mill unit for sunflower seed crushing, strengthening backward integration
Latest Development
In 2026, the group further expanded its refining capabilities by establishing Saklecha Agro Foods, featuring a:
- 100 TPD sunflower oil refinery
